40 Years of Sloanebuilt
Sloanebuilt is celebrating a monumental milestone in 2026 for 40 years of experience in the Australian trailer manufacturing industry. Since the company’s early beginnings, Sloanebuilt has grown into a symbol of quality, innovation, and family-led values.
From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leadership
Acquired in 1986 by Fred and Helen Marano, Sloanebuilt quickly earned a reputation for durable, custom-built tipping bodies and innovative trailer solutions.
The turn of the millennium (2000) marked a significant step, with a move to a larger facility on Hartley Road in Smeaton Grange. This expansion provided 1,665 cubic meters of state-of-the-art factory space, enabling Sloanebuilt to broaden its range of products, including rigid bins and dog trailers to B-Doubles and Drop Deck Wideners to meet the growing demands of the Australian Heavy Vehicle industry.
Milestones in Innovation and Growth
In 2010, Sloanebuilt celebrated 25 years with a remarkable 1,620 cubic meter extension to the facility. This milestone highlighted an ongoing commitment to excellence, quality, and innovation, with over 200 clients, staff, and special guests in attendance.
By 2020, the company had moved to its current 9-acre state-of-the-art facility on Dunn Road, equipped to handle the higher demand and continue delivering the high-quality trailers that Australian businesses trust. It features over 36,000 square meters of hardstand area and 15,000 square meters under cover, with four drive-through bays, twin spray booths, a machine shop, a blast booth, a weighbridge, a spare parts store, and modern offices. This investment has more than doubled the operation, positioning Sloanebuilt to continue servicing Sydney and beyond well into the future.
Four Decades of Dedication
Over 40 years, Sloanebuilt have become synonymous with reliability, craftsmanship, and innovation. Family values remain at the heart of every trailer built, ensuring that each product meets the highest standards for durability and performance. From their early tipping bodies to today’s advanced custom trailers, Sloanebuilt continues to evolve with the industry while staying true to its roots.
Looking Ahead
As Sloanebuilt celebrates 40 years, the focus remains on delivering innovative, Australian-made trailers designed to meet the specific needs of operators and their businesses. With decades of experience and a strong commitment to quality, Sloanebuilt is ready for continued growth and leadership in trailer manufacturing.
