Sloanebuilt Trailers' dream of larger premises is due to become a public reality in a May grand opening, the trailer maker reveals the new 36,000 square metre Smeaton Grange manufacturing facility sits on 9ha of western Sydney ground.
It will boast 15,000 sq m undercover, four drive through bays, twin spray booths, machine shop, sandblast booth, weigh bridge, spare parts store as well as state-of-the-art engineering and administrative facilities.
As Sloanebuilt Trailers (SBT) says, the project that doubles its present footprint "It is certainly a long way from where the family owned business first started back in 1986 in the humble town of Camden, now, in a small workshop style shed".
"Sloanebuilt will be able to press steel as and where needed thanks to a new monster LAD machine weighing in at 170 tonnes and able to press metals with a force of 1,000 tonnes, recently installed in January 2020 and ready to run as soon as the new warehouse is open for business,".
"SBT have also invested in a new grit blast booth to continue the flawless paint jobs clients have come to expect as their units roll out of the workshop and to also improve the finished product of refurbished or repaired units in need of a fresh coat."
