Where Did It All Begin ?

Sloanebuilt Trailers was established in the mid 1970’s by Ken Sloane. Fred and Helen Marano took on the business in the mid 1980’s and have since built a reputation for manufacturing quality tipping bodies that are custom built to suit customers’ requirements. The product range includes everything from rigid bins and dog trailers, right through to B-Doubles and Drop Deck Wideners.

1986             HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Sloanebuilt Trailers started from a small factory in Camden in 1986. Years later, greater customer demand lead to the move to the current Smeaton Grange facility in 2000 offering 1665 cubic metres of factory space.

 2010            25 YEAR MILESTONE
In 2010, Sloanebuilt celebrated 25 years of being industry leaders in the tipping body and trailer manufacturing industry. Sloanebuilt celebrated its 25th birthday with the grand opening of its new 1620 cubic metre extension to their modern Hartley Rd factory, Smeaton Grange NSW.

The special occasion was marked by a grand opening of the facility by Camden Mayor, Chris Patterson where more than 200 clients, staff and special guests joined Fred and Helen Marano in celebrating the milestone.

 2020            THE FUTURE IS SBT
For more than 30 years, we’ve seen an unprecedented growth owing to forward thinking, innovation, outstanding customer relationships and the support of our loyal customers. Sloanebuilt has again expanded into new, purpose built facilities to continue to provide employment and revenue to the area along with the production and engineering design capacity to shake the industry up. With the ever-growing Sydney housing market and the announcement of Sydney’s second airport, the Sloanebuilt team are committed to the future with all departments now operating in a new purposes-built manufacturing and repair facility located in the heart of the growth region at Smeaton Grange.

This facility is Sydney’s, and possibly New South Wales', largest trailer manufacturing facility on a 9 acre site. It accommodates over 36,000 square metres of hard stand with 15,000 square metres undercover, four drive through bays, twin spray booths, machine shop, sandblast booth, weigh bridge, spare parts store as well as modern and state of the art administrative and engineering facilities.

With this investment it has more than double the operation and put Sloanebuilt Trailers in a great position to service the Sydney, New South Wales and beyond market well into the future.
